After breakfast, explore Ljubljana with an English-speaking guide. Enjoy a private 45-minute cruise along the Ljubljanica River, then ride the funicular to Ljubljana Castle for a three-course lunch at the castle restaurant. The afternoon and evening are free for your own discoveries, shopping, or a relaxed dinner.

Begin with breakfast before you step inside the heart of Slovenia’s parliamentary democracy during a special visit to the National Assembly in Ljubljana. We’ll learn about Slovenia’s legislative process, the role of its elected representatives, and the development of its democratic institutions following independence. The visit also offers a look inside the distinctive mid-century Parliament Building, including artwork depicting important moments in the history of the Slovenian nation.

For legal professionals, this is a fascinating opportunity to compare Slovenia’s parliamentary system with the American system and consider how history and culture shape a country’s laws and government.

After breakfast, meet your guide and set out for a full day showcasing Slovenia’s dramatic landscapes, fascinating history, and celebrated culinary traditions. Venture underground to explore the remarkable passages and formations of Postojna Cave, followed by a visit to Predjama Castle, dramatically built into the mouth of a towering cliff. A three-course lunch at a local restaurant is included.

Continue into the picturesque Vipava Valley wine region for a private cellar visit and a tasting of three regional wines, accompanied by a selection of local cured meats.

The day concludes at the charming Majerija estate, reserved exclusively for our group during dinner. Enjoy a three-course meal accompanied by sparkling wine, regional wines, water, and coffee before returning to Ljubljana.

Enjoy breakfast and check out of your Ljubljana hotel. Travel with your guide to Škofja Loka for a visit before continuing to Bled. Lunch on your own in Bled, then check in at Hotel Park. The rest of the day is free to settle in and enjoy the lakeside setting at your own pace.

After breakfast, meet your guide and journey to the breathtaking Vintgar Gorge, where wooden walkways wind through a landscape of rushing turquoise water, waterfalls, and towering rock walls. The timing of your visit will be coordinated with the gorge’s group-entry schedule.

Continue to iconic Lake Bled for a private boat excursion across the lake to Bled Island. Explore the island and visit its historic church before enjoying a three-course lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the lake and surrounding Alpine scenery.

Return to Ljubljana, where the evening is yours to relax or explore independently.
