Paula is the Managing Attorney at her firm and also a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician. She often focuses on trademark prosecution, having prosecuted over 400 brands. She also focuses on the issues at the confluence of law and mental well being, frequently working as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem for the mentally ill and deemed potentially incompetent.
Steven is a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and has practiced law for nearly three decades. He has worked on matters in an astonishing variety of subjects, with particularly sophisticated experience in bankruptcy, criminal law, and personal injury law. He has also taken a special interest in ethics and drug law, as well as drug abuse within the legal field. He has written extensively, including on his law firm blog.
Brian is an accomplished litigator, but his greatest professional love is mediation. He relishes the opportunity to resolve a complex legal situation in a single day—and to help the people involved avoid expensive, messy, and emotionally draining litigation.
Brian is a frequent speaker and author on important topics related to trust and estate mediation and litigation, giving regular presentations to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), the Indiana State Bar Association, and the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum (ICLEF). As a recognized expert in the field of trust and estate law, he is regularly asked to consult or testify as an expert witness in cases involving trusts, estates, commercial law, malpractice, and civil procedure.
Jessica Dorsey, J.D., LL.M., is an international lawyer specializing in humanitarian law, human rights law, and public international law. She teaches these subjects at University College Utrecht and the Conflict and Security track of the Public International Law master’s program. She is also helping establish an interdisciplinary Open-Source Global Justice Investigations Lab. With over a decade of experience in research and advocacy at national, regional, and international levels, including the UN, Jessica is a leading expert in the field of drone warfare. She leads the Realities of Algorithmic Warfare project, serves as an Executive Board Member of Airwars, Chairs the Dutch Airwars Foundation, and holds the position of Associate Fellow at the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism, The Hague while also serving as the Managing Editor of Opinio Juris. Most recently, Jessica was named as an Expert Member of the Global Commission on Responsible AI in the Military Domain.

During your stay in Lisbon, you’ll begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide for an immersive tour of this captivating city, renowned as the Seven Hills City. Your exploration will take you through several iconic landmarks, including a panoramic view of the verdant Edward VII Park, the bustling Liberty Avenue, and the historic Rossio Square. Enjoy an unforgettable evening with the beauty and the lights of Lisbon and its main monuments. On this shared tour, discover a panoramic view of the major sights in Lisbon including the famous Jeronimos Monastery and Belem Tower. Later, enjoy dinner at an authentic restaurant with a Fado and folk dance performance. Fado is the music genre that cannot be explained, but can best be experienced through its nostalgic sounds and must be heard in silence.

Full-day Excursion to Sintra and Cascais
Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a guided full-day tour to some of Portugal’s most famous sites, including the Pena Palace in Sintra, the cliffs of Cabo da Roca, and the seaside town of Cascais. In Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its Romanticist architecture and royal palaces, explore the grand Pena Palace with its fairy-tale aesthetics and lush gardens. Enjoy some free time in the heart of Sintra, getting recommendations for sightseeing and dining from your guide.
Next, visit Cabo da Roca, Europe’s westernmost point, for stunning ocean views, and possibly stop at the popular Guincho Beach. Conclude your tour in Cascais, a chic resort town on the Portuguese Riviera, where you can wander through the city center, visit the marina, and see local craftsmen in a restored fort. The day ends with a scenic drive back to Lisbon and your hotel.

Spending a day independently in Lisbon offers a chance to immerse yourself in the city’s vibrant culture, stunning architecture, and picturesque landscapes at your own pace. Start your day with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel or at one of Lisbon’s many pastelarias, savoring a pastel de nata (custard tart) alongside a bica (espresso). Then, explore the historic Alfama district, where narrow streets lead you past colorful buildings, quaint shops, and Fado houses. Take a ride on the iconic Tram 28 for panoramic views of the city.
For art enthusiasts, the Museu Calouste Gulbenkian houses an impressive collection of ancient and modern art. For a taste of local life, visit the bustling Time Out Market, where you can sample a variety of Portuguese dishes and seafood.
Spend your afternoon strolling through the picturesque streets of Chiado and Bairro Alto, browsing independent boutiques and stopping for a coffee or glass of vinho verde in a sunny square. As the day winds down, head to the Miradouro de Santa Catarina or the Park of the Nations for stunning sunset views over the Tagus River.

Lisbon - Arrabida Wine Tour with Lunch
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a scenic journey across the 17 km long Ponte Vasco da Gama, offering stunning views of the Tagus river bay. Your first destination is the Castle of Palmela, where you can capture breathtaking panoramic photos from the castle tower. The tour then takes you through the Arrabida wine region, dotted with vineyards, cork, and olive trees, leading to a family-owned vineyard in Arrábida park for a relaxing wine tasting session.
Experience one of Portugal’s most picturesque drives, reaching the 500m peak of the Arrábida Natural Park for spectacular Atlantic Ocean views and a glimpse of Portinho da Arrábida beach. Afterward, enjoy lunch in the charming fishing village of Sesimbra, with time to unwind on the beach. The tour includes two more wine tastings at a historic wine cellar in Azeitão, dating back to the early 1800s. Conclude your day with a visit to Cristo Rei for impressive views over Lisbon and the river Tejo, before returning to the city via the 25th of April Bridge. Lunch included.
