So, to get you started in your search for the top CLE sessions this year, we’ve compiled a list of some of the most popular events and workshops happening for U.S. lawyers. Get ready to level up your legal game with these can’t-miss CLE courses!
Annual Continuing Legal Education Conferences
American Bar Association
The American Bar Association (ABA) offers everything you need to advance your legal practice. The Committee Midwinter Meetings provide informative programs on trending subjects, recent developments in the legal industry, and court rulings delivered by authorities in their fields. All Midwinter Meetings qualify for CLE credit, and some of them may satisfy your state’s MCLE requirements. You can check the dates here.
Additionally, the ABA TECHSHOW is happening from March 1-4, 2023. The focus of this event will be integrating technology into the practice of law. Technology use is crucial for lawyers for many reasons, both inside and outside of the office. To name a few, the right use of technology can help attorneys provide better client care and manage the intricacies of a career in law more effectively.
Of course, it can feel daunting to stay updated with the most recent technology as it develops. ABA TECHSHOW can be very helpful for legal practitioners who are looking to update their systems or learn how to streamline their workflow better with the help of tech. Plus, you’ll get to meet over 100 vendors of tech-related products and services at this event.
Owners from big and small law firms all over the United States attend this annual conference that’s taken place each year since 2017. The SUMMIT was a game-changing conference designed by the practice management specialists at Atticus that aims to inform and educate attendees from all over.
At this in-person event in Orlando, FL, attendees can look forward to gaining motivation from keynote speakers, engaging in thought-provoking conversations and workshops, and discovering fresh perspectives through innovative exhibits.
If you own a law firm, save the date for this one! It’s happening November 2-3, 2023! Click here for more information.
American Immigration Lawyers Association
Another annual event that offers timely topics on legal issues is the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Annual Conference on Immigration Law. This conference will be held from June 21-24, 2023, in Orlando, Florida.
In the U.S., more than 16,000 lawyers and professors who practice and teach immigration law are members of the AILA. These members serve a variety of clients, including American immigrant families who want to give their immediate family members permanent residency, as well as American companies that want to hire people from abroad. If you’re already an AILA member or if you’re planning to join, their annual conference is a great place to start.
