The beach has turquoise waters fit for snorkeling and the outer shoreline is surrounded by coconut trees and sea grape trees. Simply put, Lindquist Beach is the perfect beach to prop your feet up while sipping cocktails!

2. Brewers Bay Beach

Brewer’s Bay is probably the first thing you’ll see when flying into St. Thomas. If you’re like most people, you’ll want to head on over to the beach just as soon as you land! Brewers Bay Beach is maintained by the University of the Virgin Islands and it’s the ideal spot to sample all the local foods sold by food trucks nearby. After sampling delicacies like salt fish and Johnny cakes, you’ll be ready to hit the beach with your snorkel gear so you can swim with the sea turtles!

3. Coki Beach

Also known as Coki Point Beach, Coki Beach is a great place to hang out if you’re waiting for your tour of Coral World Ocean Park. While you’re here, make sure to check out the local rum bars nearby! And because Coki Beach is a small beach, it may seem overcrowded at times, but it’s definitely still a worthwhile visit for activities like snorkeling and swimming.

4. Secret Harbor Beach

One of the best places to bring the kids to on Saint Thomas is Secret Harbor Beach! Here, they can swim with the tropical fish while you lounge on the comfy beach chairs that are available for rent. This beach features calm waters, a floating platform, and soft white sand—perfect for the whole family!

By the way, this beach is close to the Secret Harbour Beach Resort, so the parking lot is typically filled with cars during the day. We suggest you plan to arrive via taxi for the best experience at this beach.

5. Magens Bay Beach

The one-mile stretch of Magen’s Bay Beach is one of the most popular beaches for kids because of the shallow waters and lack of currents. Plus, if you want to go kayaking and paddle boarding, there are water sports rental booths all around the place, too! Additionally, if you get tired, there are plenty of nearby bars and restaurants that serve snacks like pizza and burgers.

Not surprisingly, this beach can be a bit crowded when the cruise ships are at the port and the cruise ship passengers are around. However, even on the busiest days you can usually still find a few picnic tables to enjoy your meals on this beautiful beach.

6. Mermaid’s Chair

Mermaid’s Chair is a hidden gem tucked away on the far west side of St. Thomas. If you rent a car and park at The Preserve at Botany Bay, you can reach this quaint beach after trekking for about 3 miles. This pristine beach has no facilities on site, so it’s a good idea to pack plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen before making the trip out here.

7. Sapphire Beach

One of the most beautiful beaches on the east end of St. Thomas is Sapphire Beach. This is the ideal place for water sports like windsurfing, kayaking, and snorkeling. The clear waters here are filled with a variety of interesting marine life and coral reefs, so be careful that you don’t step on the wildlife while you’re enjoying this beach!

If you want to stay here, the closest hotel is Sapphire Beach Resort. You can also get some of the best tacos at the Sapphire Beach Bar.
